frozen

A frozen soul.
In a frozen body.
In a frozen world.

tube

Why are you looking at me? I'm just stealing your soul.

piccadilly

When I was a kid, I was convinced it was some kind of famous circus, with acrobats, clowns, tigers and lions.
I still had a tiny hope to see a tiger as I was stepping out from the underground station.

breakfast

As soon as I landed in Stansted, the concept of mushrooms has started to flash in my mind.

Friday, December 5, 2008

orange

There's this sweet and sour story about a leaf asking for an emergency parachute but everybody around has already disappeared, so the leaf closes its eyes and the wind blows gently.

ciampino

Sometimes it helps focusing on little details rather than on the overall picture.
This is especially true when the overall picture is Ciampino.

fog

“Your last wish, Mr. Leaf?”
“I want to learn how to play cello, I want to play Bach's first suite for cello solo on a lakefront and while I play I want to sense the fog slowly taking possession of me, every single molecule of mine.”

fnac

My favorite spot had already been taken.
I gave them the evil eye.

Angry bartender made this for me.
“Go read your future in your coffee now,” he said.

Thursday, November 27, 2008

coach

“How do you get this imminent-end-of-the-world-consciousness look of yours?”
“I wash my face with inevitability twice a day.”

walk

Maybe it's not that bad.
Maybe I still want to move to the UK.
At least I could walk on this path every single day of my life.

hotel

“Nice view, huh?”
“Those lights.”
“So do you still want to move to the UK?”
“I don't know. I'm not so sure now. I am not sure of anything.”
“I see.”
“Hey, am I actually speaking to myself?”
“Yes.”
“Oh.”

airport

Waiting for my coach.
“How do you prefer your coffee, sir?”
“...”
“Black? White? Vampire-flavored?”
“Oh, vampire-flavored, thanks.”
“You're very welcome, sir.”

sangue

And now that empty look of yours.
Did you know they used to fill empty swimming pools with people's empty looks?

Friday, November 21, 2008

filtered

I have come up with this idea of autumn being invented by God so that we could cheerfully mess around with filtered black and white.

Yay! New themes for gmail!
Guess which one I picked?

American Gothic.
This is not the first time I meet famous art people in the underground.
Last week I spotted Vladimir and Estragon from Waiting for Godot, how about that.

challenges

Moujab's not so sure about how to make a provola e speck pizza.

Saturday, November 15, 2008

giant

I am a life watcher.
I like to silently squeeze people and observe lifedrops dripping down from them and gather in fleeting life puddles. Oh, then I put paper boats in them.

raccordo

I wonder who inoculated me against zombieness.
What's your secret agenda?

Wednesday, November 12, 2008

night

Here's the night, my best friend, who walks with me on my way from the office to the parking lot.
We exchange a few words, and some very meaningful sigh of regret.

Tuesday, November 11, 2008

wall

Here I am at a dead-end again.
A never-ending sequence of dead-ends.
That's how I would describe my life if someone asked.

mini

These are my mini breakfasts, a coffee macchiato and two fette biscottate while Mum is playing Finally We Have a Map of the Planet on my ipod.
Oh, the cosy joy of a mini breakfast.

porta di roma

“Can we go home please?”
“You asked me to come here.”
“I feel confused.”
“Too many people in here.”
“People are confusing.”
“Yeah.”
“Bring me home.”

That I night I had a dream about Tommy Oshima.
We met I don't remember where and we started to talk.
“Are you into film photography?” he asked.
“Oh yes,” I said, “I've just finished my first roll.”
He nodded.
“Are you into scanning too?” he asked then.
“Oh yes,” I said, “I've bought a cheap Epson scanner on Ebay, but I didn't try it out yet."
He smiled and I knew that that part of my dream was over.

country

Farmer boy for a day, happiness starts flowing again in my soul's veins.
It tickles.

Thursday, November 6, 2008

coach

Next to a window in a long distance coach, a young man sat hunched over his ipod.
In a minute or two, the coach would leave and soon become a dark, humming sleep chamber.
That is the moment the young man is waiting for.
He calls it: the perfect isolation.

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

blender

Throwing all my memories in a blender and whip them and put them back into my mind, that's how I feel every single day when I wake up.

Tuesday, November 4, 2008

lunch

And I created a new group on facebook: Sushi Lovers United To Rule The Universe.

Monday, November 3, 2008

train

It's nice to be there some minutes before your departure time and let yourself carried away by the gentle waves of the endless human flow.

I am alive.

And I still have a goal.

Sunday, November 2, 2008

tetris

Everybody needs a goal to strive for.
My goal is to complete the Tetris DS 200 lines marathon by only clearing groups of four rows at once.
Today, I am half way there.

Saturday, November 1, 2008

lunch

I thought it would have burnt my thoughts and turn them into metaphysical ash but it didn't work.
I must add more chili peppers next time.

rain

If I had a dragon, I could ride it and fly away from this hell and plunge into the clouds and laugh, and cry, and forget about the oil warning light maddeningly blinking on my dashboard.

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

tangenziale

Driving on the tangenziale during rush hour.
I suddenly realize that I don't fear death anymore: hell can't be much worse than that.

raccordo

Hi there stranger! You are going to fall and crash on me, aren't you?

A perpetual fog planet would be my second choice, if the perpetual rain planet was already taken.

Monday, October 27, 2008

Fog makes your morning an extension of your dreams.

Sunday, October 26, 2008

cavour

“Hey.”
“Hey.”
“What are you looking at?”
“Nothing.”
“Did you know this is the gateway to a parallel universe?”
“Oh really? How much is the ticket?”
“Your own life.”
“Oh.”

underground

There I would pick all these underground looks and file them in my own personal look book.

Saturday, October 25, 2008

heavy

“You've got a dragon curled up into your belly.”
“Really? I thought it was yesterday's pizza...”

Friday, October 24, 2008

grass

On my way from the parking lot to my office. A leafship is ready to take off, with its load of raindrops willing to escape, no matter where, no matter why.
Oh I wish I were a raindrop.

morning

Sometimes I wish I could buy a night extension before going to bed.
